Roblox is trying to save every last penny, and that has recently been becoming very obvious, But they're starting to stumble over themselves quite a bit.
Earth just informed me that CFrames have been modified, and coordinate frames for cameras has been removed. My question is... WHY? Many of Roblox's current very advanced scripts probably use either of these two things... so why change/remove them? By confusing the scripting community, and basically not even caring about scripting anymore, Roblox has turned its back against it's scripters. It's Powerhouse. Scripters are what [used to] keep Roblox ALIVE. Now, all I see on the front page is obsticle course (Yes, I used the full word!), escape this, escape that, find out why [famous person here] was killed, another place with zombies, and of course, the VERY occasional, rare, GEM of a place. These gems however, are soon discarded by the community, for something that obviously needed to be "Mre obby lik, lolz"
Phew. I've seemed to drift off my main topic a bit, but It's all the truth, no matter what my main topic is. Roblox is NOT going to survive. Older/more mature players are leaving to Blockland* because of Roblox's terrible community, and low quality of places, usually created by less mature players. Some of the lesser mature players are starting to get angry (but not leave yet) because they have no money, and they want "More tix hats". To add on to that, barely any decent places get up on the front page anymore, lowering the standard to what is now considered a "Good Place".
Nowdays, "Good Places" can be made by anyone and his ability to click the "Free models" button. I rejoice every day when there is a new free model virus going around, because it really can force people to actually try and use their own creativity for once. Places made by people who actually put effort into their places are usually given a few seconds of respect, then moved away from, for the next "new" obsticle course.
Roblox has turned into a downward spiral. Some people deny it, some people agree, and some people wish hats costed less. Either way, if some decent places don't start getting up on the front pages, and roblox doesn't start improving the way the community works, instead of focusing on their money intake and the number of features in their game, Roblox won't be surviving for long.
[end of rant]
*Discussion of Blockland will not be allowed on this thread, and if it is talked about in other threads, it must not turn into a flaming mess.
